【摘要】:ThepropertyKIcSRdeterminedbythistestmethodisbelievedtocharacterizetheresistanceofacementedcarbidetofractureinaneutralenvironmentinthepresenceofasharpcrackunderseveretensileconstraint,suchthatthestateofstressnearthecrackfrontapproachestri-tensileplanestrain,andthecrack-tipplasticregionissmallcomparedwiththecracksizeandspecimendimensionsintheconstraintdirection.AKIcSRvalueisbelievedtorepresentalowerlimitingvalueoffracturetoughness.Thisvaluemaybeusedtoestimatetherelationbetweenfailurestressanddefectsizewhentheconditionsofhighconstraintdescribedabovewouldbeexpected.BackgroundinformationconcerningthebasisfordevelopmentofthistestmethodintermsoflinearelasticfracturemechanicsmaybefoundinRefs(1-4).3Thistestmethodcanservethefollowingpurposes:5.2.1Toestablish,inquantitativetermssignificanttoserviceperformance,theeffectsoffabricationvariablesonthefracturetoughnessofneworexistingmaterials,and5.2.2Toestablishthesuitabilityofamaterialforaspecificapplicationforwhichthestressconditionsareprescribedandforwhichmaximumflawsizescanbeestablishedwithconfidence.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthefracturetoughnessofcementedcarbides(KIcSR)bytestingslottedshortrodorshortbarspecimens.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
