【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedforusebyatrainedsensorypanelexperiencedinusinganintensityscaleorrankorderingandfamiliarwiththedescriptiveterminologyandreferencesassociatedwiththepackagingmaterials.Dataanalysisandinterpretationshouldbeconductedbyatrainedandexperiencedsensoryprofessional.SeeRefs(4-5)fordiscussionsonpanelistscreeningandtraining.Thistestmethodshouldbeconsideredasascreeningtechniqueforsuppliersandend-userstouseinassessingflavorimpactofpackagingfilms.TheapplicationofthistestmethodwillresultinaFPSorrankdata.Thedeterminationforsuitabilityofapackagingfilmforaparticularend-useshouldbebasedonasetofpredeterminedcriteriaincludingtheFPSorrankscore.Informationobtainedfromthetransfertestscanalsobeusedtoevaluatetheoriginofanytransferredtastesorodors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversarecommendedprocedureforexaminingodorandtastepropertiesofpolymericfilmintendedforuseasflexiblepackagingmaterials.Thistestmethodcanbeusedforsingle(mono)layers,coextruded,andlaminatematerials.Thefocusofthistestmethodistheevaluationofthefilmintermsofitsperceivedinherentodorandthetransferofpackage-relatedodors,orflavors,orboth,towaterandothermodelsystems(blandfoodsimulants).1.2Thistestmethodassumestestingofthefilmsataone-timepoint;shelf-lifetestingisnotincluded.PleaseseeRef()fordiscussionofshelf-lifetesting.1.3Thistestmethodcanprovidesamplepreparationproceduresandtwomethodsofevaluation.TheFilmPerformanceScoreMethodallowsforthecomparisonofanyfilmsampletoanother.TheRankingMethodallowsforcomparisonofsampleswithinaset.Thepreparationofsamplesisconsistentregardlessofthemethodofevaluationused.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthprecisionanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse
