【摘要】:Electrodepositsofchromiumonchromiumareproducedincaseswhereitisdesiredtoobtainabetterperformingcoating,toreclaimplatedpartsthataredefective,orrestorewornchromiumcoatingstooriginaldimensions.1.1Thispracticeisintendedtoserveasaprocessguide(notasastandardprocedure)forproducingadherentelectrodepositsofchromiumonchromiumforengineeringuse.1.2Onlywell-known,generallypracticalmethodsusinghexavalentchromiumplatingbathshavebeenincluded.Someofthenewerproprietarychromiumplatingprocessesproducechromiumplatingforwhichthisprocessisunsuitable.Suppliersoftheprocessesshouldbeconsulted.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
